Alessandra Mancini-Vargas (born 1994) is a Canadian interdisciplinary artist and printmaker of LatinX and Italian descent. Originally from Niagara Falls, Ontario (Onguiaahra), she currently resides in Montréal, Quebec (Tiohtià:ke), where she passionately pursues her artistic practice in printmaking. Mancini-Vargas's work delves into ongoing research-creation, aiming to articulate deeply felt experiences of suppressed sexual liberation, trauma, and bodily autonomy. In her recent project, "Text Me When You Get Home," she merges performance art with wearable prints, a venture supported by Pop Mtl x Art Volt in 2022. Mancini-Vargas holds a BFA in New Media from Ryerson University (2016) and a BFA in Studio Arts from Concordia University (2022). Her talent has garnered recognition, and following her graduation, she was nominated by Concordia's print faculty to submit for the BMO 1st Art Award.
